Many Friends will know me from my heavy involvement in the Quaker web world. I’ve been dubbed the “Quaker Blogfather” for my work in pulling together QuakerQuaker, the leading guide to the Quaker blog community and I write a well-known blog called Quaker Ranter.
Professionally I’ve served as webmaster for both Friends General Conference (eight years) and Friends Journal (two). In my freelance work, I’ve put together sites for such high-profile Friends as Peter Blood and Annie Patterson of Rise Up Singing fame and Betsy Cazden, who’s doing very interesting work on New England Quaker history.
Someday I’ll write a guide to Quaker web aesthetics. You can get a taste in my design philosophy and in a piece I wrote on the potential ironies of simple design.
I can help you put together your very first site, redesign your current site or strategize with you about how to make your internet presence more visible and search engine friendly. My initial consultations are free. Email or call me today at martink@martinkelley.com or 215-681-0783.

| Design Philosophy I like websites that are clean and easy to use. I don’t like designs that are so artsy and look-at-me cool that no one can figure out how to get around. A good design gives visitors a sense of the personality of the business or author. I also like websites that attract visitors and are well used and I make sure Google and the other search engines can the sites I put together. |
